Going on our own

This option could be cheaper but also has more risk.

Same dates of travelling but for 2008 prices are arround $1000 round trip, and each hotel night could be arround $40 each person.

Transportation in train is cheap. Madrid-Palencia round trip is arround 19 Euros. With high speed train is a little more expensive. Trains are very frequent

www.renfe.es

Having our "base" in Palencia, we can travel to Cantabria to spend one day in the beach, or to historic Burgos and Leon, to the medieval towns of Avila and Salamanca (oldest university in Spain and one of the oldest in Europe), to Madrid, to see castles in Segovia, to see roman archeological excavations, to a car factory, to agicultural centers...

OTHER COMPANIES

We can also use other companies.

Prices are a little more expensive, but they promise there are no hidden charges

FIRST MEETING IN AN HOUR

FIRST MEETING IN AN HOUR

Hi everyone!! Hola a todos!

As you probably know, this is Mr Camina, a Spaniard teaching in Nebraska. Several students asked me about going to Spain during the summer. In an hour we will have a meeting trying to decide what to do and how to do it. But many of you wont be able to be at the meeting. So I tried to create this blog. All the info of the meetings, all your questions and requests, and all our progress will be published here.

Thanks for visiting and I am sure we will have a wonderful time planning the trip and having fun in ESPAÑA (OLE!!)
